Managing chargers

How to add and manage your chargers across Plugchoice

Updated today

By adding chargers, you can check their status, configure them, and use Plugchoice's charging features. Chargers are added to a location, which has at least an owner and possibly extra members who can then see all chargers in that location.

Adding and removing chargers

To add a charger, you need the following:

If you're an end-user, your charger is probably already added to a location and your installer should invite you to the location.

To add and remove chargers:

App

To add a charger to a location, first make sure you're in the correct location by checking the Overview screen. Then, go to Chargers and press the + icon to add it.

To remove a charger from a location, go to Chargers > [Your charger] > Settings > Remove from location.

Web Portal

Go to Locations > View > Chargers > Add Charger to add it.

To remove a charger, go to Locations > View > Chargers and press the unlink icon.

To permanently delete a charger, go to Chargers

After adding the charger, you:

  • Must configure it

  • Add cards to the location

  • Explore charger settings

  • Transfer ownership of the location or invite members

Moving chargers to a different location

First, remove the charger from the current location.

You can now add the charger to a new location via the Web Portal or via the app using the pincode.

Pincodes

When a charger is added to Plugchoice, a pincode is automatically generated for it. So if you're an installer or end-user, the pincode probably already exists and is delivered to you together with the charger.
