Managing locations

About locations and how to create them

Adding and managing chargers all starts with a location.

The following is handled on a location basis:

  • Chargers

  • Members & permissions (who can view what)

  • Meters

  • Cards

  • Smart charging controls


Creating locations

Start by creating a location. For smart charging and geolocation purposes, it's important to input the real address. The location name is just for your reference, you can give it your project number for instance.

Pluggy

Go to Overview > Account > Create a new location.

You will also be asked about the main fuse and you will get the option to add a meter. This is used for Power Management.

Web Portal

Go to Locations > Create Location.

After you've created the location, you should press the Power Management tab to properly prepare the location for any Power Management features.

After creating a location, you can do the following:


Editing location information

You can edit a location's name or address details later on. This is useful in case the chargers move to a different address, or if you want to update your project number references.

Pluggy

Go to Account > Location Information. Press any fields you want to edit and press the checkmark on the top right of the screen.

Web Portal

Go to Locations > View > Location Information.

Any changes you make here will be visible to all members of the location immediately.


Deleting locations

It's currently not possible to delete locations. Contact our support via the chat bubble if you want us to delete your location.
